MARCH 2010ⓒ
Beloved,
Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Indeed, I know we, as God's dear children, are assailed on every side with temptations and the lusts
of this world, and that we yet reside in unredeemed bodies, some of us yet striving against sin, but that we
all should desire to please God by living righteously, holily, and that faithfully. For there shall be eternal
preservation to the workers of righteousness and everlasting destruction to the workers of iniquity.
Now it is written, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave
to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" (Mat. 19:5). Being spiritually minded, precious
one, as a man should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, so you should have nothing to do with Satan
and this world of sin and evil lusts; but cleave to your Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; whereas a man and his
wife are one flesh, so the Lord and you should be one spirit. As it is written, "But he that is joined unto
the Lord is one spirit" ((I Cor. 6:17).
Consider yourself
glued spiritually to the Lord, always staying very close to Him in terms of association, walking in His
fear, departing from evil. Be faithful to Him, not cheating on Him through evil desires to experience and enjoy the pleasures
of sin, to be lured away from Him by worldly lusts. When tempted, consider this: You'll think about becoming
unfaithful to Him, but don't do it, beloved! Remain true to Him who loves you and watches over you, and is ever ready
to help you when you cry out to Him.
Recognizing you're
married to the Lord, be pleasing to Him not only with faith but also much more importantly with obedience.
Pray about things which you may have the most trouble with, especially presumptuous sins. Being tempted Himself,
yet without sin, He can help you; His grace is sufficient for you. If enticed by sinners, don't consent, lest you
'play the harlot' and become spiritually defiled.
Remember, He has
a wonderful future for you and even now He has a wonderful blessing plan for your life. But He doesn't bless disobedience;
He blesses obedience. Wherefore must you needs be subject to Him, exalting His known will above your own,
desiring to please Him in all things. You can't be one with Him in rebellion against Him, only in submission
to Him. Love Him and cherish Him as your greatest love, and whatever you do, remain close to Him, being led continually
by His Spirit. Amen.
My salutation with my own hand, which is the token in every L.O.V.E. Letter, so I write. The
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
