Harnessing the Power of You
Are you aware that you have power in the beautiful form of a God-given gift or special ability to do something very effective?  Being no respecter of persons, God's given every human being born on earth a specific gift or special ability with which to put him over in life.  First and foremost, your gift is to serve God for His glory in your life.  Second, your gift is to serve others, from which they should wonderfully benefit.  Third, your gift is to serve you: through its practical use, it should provide you with the basic necessities of life and then some. Ultimately, you should have more than enough. There are two basic things you should understand and practice in regard to harnessing your power:
1. Power ControlAs a harnesser of your power, you should control your power.  By this I simply mean that you should know what your 'power' or God-given gift is.  You should have good understanding of how to use it, how it can benefit others, and how to make it yield its highest potential possible.  You and no one else is in charge of your gift! Now the Bible speaks of spiritual gifts, which, of course, belong to the Holy Spirit, and there are nine of them. However, I'm not referring to these gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are His to control, His to manifest through whosoever He chooses, dividing severally as He wills.  He Himself operates these spiritual gifts through people. These are HIS gifts.  But there's a personal gift that God's given to you, that you can control and use as you will.  Some people have a gift to sing. Some have a gift to build.  Some have a gift to dance.  Some have a gift to write.  Some have a gift to play certain musical instruments, and so on.  God's blessed you with your very own gift, but it's entirely up to you to use it.
2. Power ConversionWhen you use your gift faithfully, you should do so also strategically.  You should make the most of your gift, operating it where it'll flourish the most and benefit the most.  In practical use of your gift, you should learn to convert your power into prosperity.  In other words, use your gift in the most advantageous ways, to attain prosperity and good success in your life.  "A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it PROSPERETH" (Prov. 17:8).  As I mentioned earlier, your gift is to put you over in life.  It has the ability to prosper, and therefore to prosper YOU.  You should exercise your gift ultimately for God's glory but also for your own benefit.  Your gift will be your passion, something God's marvellously equipped you to do effectively and that you'll enjoy doing, for that it's meant to be done throughout your life.  Thus, you should be able to live from your gift.  But this, of course, requires learning what it is, honing it,  how to use it, discovering the audience it's most appreciated by, and so forth.  The bottomline to this is that your gift can make money for you.  You faithfully do what God's gifted you to do, glorying Him in it, blessing others by it, and receiving their carnal things (money) in return.
Understand, money's a part of it but not all of it.  It's for God's glory and people's benefit. Last but certainly not least, it's for your personal prosperity.  Have a gift to sing? Then develop it and sing your heart out, enjoying it all, blessing others, and reap gladly the rewards of working your gift.  Whatever your gift is, use it faithfully; it'll empower you to live a good life.  Learn to harness the power of you!
